Accubits Fellowship Program

The current scenario with uncertainty regarding college education and job opportunities due to the pandemic, has made people realise the need for the student community to engage in activities that encourage them to constantly learn and unlearn emerging trends in order to be industry ready. Along with this, there is a growing need for businesses to ensure that the right people are matched with the right opportunities. This leads to the need for each group to understand the other through a hands on experience and identify opportunities that can be leveraged to ensure maximum efficiency.

OBJECTIVE

Identifying young talents with good aptitude and attitude and enabling them to come up with innovative solutions that can benefit humanity. During this programme, the students will be introduced to various technologies and they will be part of various activities including research and product development. Once they graduate, if they are interested, Accubits will consider absorbing them into their team.

STUDENT BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP MODEL

The program is designed to provide industry experience to the student community ultimately making them industry leaders in their area of focus. With this idea in mind, Accubits Fellowship Programme would follow an SBP model ( Student Business Partnership ) which will be a one of a kind partnership program where both students as well Accubits will work in tandem, towards upskilling the student’s career trajectory as well as developing the company’s technological and product research. The program also looks forward to providing assistance to materialise any “out of the box” ideas.

SELECTION PROCESS

A rigorous selection process (at par with Ivy League college selection process) is envisioned for the process to identify the cream of the student community. The selection process includes 4 rounds, which will include the following;

Students from the colleges which do not have an MoU with us can enroll for the AFP through a wild card entry. Those students who are really interested to join us can mail their resume to fellowship@accubits.com

PROGRAM FRAMEWORK

Each of the Student Partner will be assigned with 2 Student Guides (SG) who will be qualified resources of Accubits, to partner with the students in their journey

The students will be introduced to various programming languages and technologies. Once the students get a decent knowledge of all the areas, they will be assigned a particular stream based on the performance

The SG will assign weekly targets which will be based on their academic syllabus unless the student wishes to pursue other interests (can be learning tutorials / tasks)

Based on the stream assigned, they can participate in hackathons / coding challenges / paper presentations / journal publishing and can be encouraged to come up with their own ideas / demos / prototypes, which they can develop as a product with the help of Accubits

KPIs FOR STUDENT PARTNERS

Time frame based KPIs are required for student partners, the KPIs would increase as his/her experience with the company increases

For the first year KPIs would be 2 to 3, the KPIs frequency and quantity may be increased the following years

Major RnD indicators could include novel product ideas, open source projects, prototypes, peer reviewed publications, participation in coding challenges, hackathons and ideathons, as well as leadership roles and positions taken up by the student partners during the course of this initiative
